Which is the best trees, flowers and shrubs you can use in your garden? This is a HIGHLY relevant question. One that is often not asked by people but one that SHOULD be considered. Think about it, if you are going to plant a flower, or a tree, or a plant that bears fruits, you are going to have to take care of it now. It is a long-term investment of time. And nothing would be worse than to plant something in the summer only to find out it is a flower meant for the winter or to plant something in the winter and realize it’s a plant meant for the summer. Depending on where you live in the word and what your seasons are like different plants will serve you much better than other plants.

So the question is which trees and plants should you use? Well we are going to list some of the more common options that are available for everyone depending on where you live.

1. Summers

If you live in a hot climate, such as in the desert, where it is dry and hot and the sun is strong. The best option that comes to mind are the various types of cacti and also the various types of water conserving palms and grass. Now I know what you’re thinking, cacti?? That something you see in a wild west movie, but in reality cacti can be pretty aesthetic and are some of the easiest plants to take care of. You can also plant aloe vera which has the benefit of… well aloe vera!

2. Tropics

I envy people who live in the tropics, you guys, by far have the most broad range of plant selection that you can viably grow, and not only that but the types of plants that grown in the tropics are the most beautiful, most fruit bearing plants of all. If you live in the tropics you should definitely at the very least look to plant some palms, palms are not only very aesthetic, but provide great shade to the yard. They are easy to take care of requiring minimal water usage and also grow to a decent size.

3. Winter

If you live in a cold place like northern Europe or new York in the winter, your options for what you can plant are much less than that of the tropics for example, but fear not. You still have some amazing and unique plants that anyone would love to have. Lets mention the most notable one right at the start, the pine tree. Yes, the famous iconic tree of Christmas. You can literally grow your own pine tree. Pine trees are easily manageable, don’t require a lot of water and grow wonderfully in cold climates. Besides this you can grow acorn trees and certain flowers like tulips, that grow wonderfully in the winter.

4. All Rounders

Some trees and plants are good any time of year, one such example would be the maple tree, this is good in spring, summer, winter and fall, and literally looks good in any season, not only that but it is low maintenance, so this baby any one can plant if you cant think of anything else.
